PLC Construction, Inc. was the general contractor for construction, inspection, programming, and commissioning services for Ramsey Gas Plant, after an explosion severely damaged the plant inlet, amine treating, and low pressure condensate stabilization in December 2015. PLC surveyed the damage to Ramsey 2 and Ramsey 3 – the units closest to the explosion – and reinstated the 200MMSCFD capacity of Ramsey 3. After significant remediation and modification, Ramsey 3 was recommissioned and fully operational just three months later.

PLC then restored Ramsey 2 to service by performing a control system upgrade and ISA 84 segregation. Our control system programmers, instrument and electrical technicians, and engineers simultaneously commissioned Ramsey 4 and Ramsey 5, while we also supplied commission support to bring the new HP stabilizer and inlet online. Finally, PLC commissioned Ramsey 2, completing Ramsey’s main projects in December 2016. PLC is currently contracted to commission Ramsey 6, the final gas processing train, scheduled for fall of 2017.
