PLC’s Engineering Services division deployed a multidisciplinary team comprised of process/mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems engineering and design professionals to complete the list of deliverables for this project.
We provide our clients with solutions. We use the latest technologies in our detailed multidisciplinary designs. Our drawing package included foundations, structural steel, pipe routing and connections, and electrical power and control systems.
In parallel, PLC developed work plans and HAZID reviews, supporting proper shut-down planning activities. As detailed engineering nears completion, PLC supports our client in its construction efforts by providing IFC packages and scope of work descriptions for each major construction trade (i.e. foundations, mechanical, electrical & controls).
Project alignment and collaboration are key in any project PLC oversees; weekly communication with our clients is a priority, as well as scheduled design reviews. (i.e. 30%, 60%, 90% design reviews). An added benefit is our laser scan technology; PLC can lead a virtual version of the plant working areas during such reviews.
Vendor Document Reviews were also included in our execution strategy for this project. PLC successfully coordinated the review of all vendor documentation, soliciting our client’s input, and returned all comments to various vendors in a timely manner.
We are happy to discuss our past experiences further and take a deep dive into the details.
