Sustainable Energy. Limitless Horizons.
Project Overview
PLC proudly supported a project to improve the reliability and increase capacity of a Cryogenic RNG facility. This RNG facility is one of the largest RNG facilities located within a landfill, with a capacity of 22,500+ SCFM.
PLC provided process, mechanical, civil/structural, and EI&C Engineering and Design services for the following brownfield upgrade projects:
- Addition of NRU Recycle and LN2 injection systems to shorten start-up/cool down time.
- Addition of 2,000 HP Motor Driven NRU Feed Compressor and associated auxiliary units (PDC building, discharge filter/coalescer, new pipe rack and concrete compressor foundation).
- Improvements to Deoxo Unit including addition of Pre-Heat shell & tube exchanger, caustic cooler, and redesigned O2
- Cooler and O2 Reactor Cross Exchanger.
- Replacement of facility flare.
- Addition of two oil flooded screw Feed Compressors including auxiliary units (lube oil air coolers, PDC building, discharge air cooler).
- Addition of Oil Water Separator at facility produced water takeaway.
- Misc. minor updates including addition of HMO flow meter, upsizing NRU cryo control valve, installation of an inlet caustic tower diverter per custom design by PLC, analysis of caustic tower steel platforms, design of Thermal Oxidizer elevated steel access platforms, installation of control system marshaling cabinet, among others.
Furthermore, PLC provided PSM support for the facility including, but not limited to:
- P&ID As-Builting and Manual Valve Tagging
- PSV Study
- Onsite PSSR Support
- PSM Documentation Audit and Assistance to Address Documentation Gaps
